With Our Words

Updated: Mar 13, 2020

We Give and We Take Away

You already know that others words have power to hurt your feelings, or calm you, or cause you to feel all warm inside. So then doesn’t it follow that your own words about yourself, to yourself, do the same?

The book of James tells us that bitter words and sweet do not mix. We believe and become one or the other, the good or the bad. Words give life and build lives or tear down.

As we consider the power of our words, lets not mix the bitter with the sweet. Let’s make a conscious decision to build up and give life with all our words. Then beginning with us, speaking the sweet healing words of life over ourselves, we build our own lives up, and all that life giving force will spill over into the lives of others.

Remember, generations reap what we sow. Lets sow life with our words. Pass on a blessing to the great, great, great, grandchildren you’ll never know.
