Jesus Is The Answer

Who remembers this? It’s been a favorite song ever since I first heard it, always playing in the back of my mind....

Do you know there IS power in the name of Jesus? I mean there is tangible power. I’ve lived it. I’ve been rescued from serious danger because it was the first thing out of my mouth. Not a swear word, rather a call to the One who has been my “Father” since I was 5 years old.

I don’t tell the details of that event to many, because people want to trivialize and humanize it. What happened to me was not human power.

I also taught my boys to speak the Name of Jesus when they were afraid, believing it was more than mere comfort words, rather a power to protect them.

If you’re a Christian and you don’t know that Power, or aren’t confident in it, I encourage and challenge you to get to know Jesus that way. It’s not some religious thing you do. It’s asking God, verbally, to show Himself to you. Tell Him you’d like to know Him as a protective Father, a best friend. Tell Him you want to know the Power of His Name. Then when your in an uncontrollable circumstance, Jesus, is the Power that comes rolling off your tongue. Swear words will do nothing for you.

My missionary father-in-law told of a time the name of Jesus stopped the demonic power of the witch doctor. That’s tangible... something you can see or touch, it’s real.

If you’re a Christian and you think we have to wade through this worlds troubles without protection, without relief, feeling all the pain and fear the world does, think again. Jesus is your answer, today, in this world. Yes heaven will be unimaginably amazing and awesome in the true meaning of those words. But we don’t have to wait till heaven to exercise The Power of the Name of Jesus.

This song says Jesus is The answer for the world today.... that’s true for non Christians as in, ‘we’d love for them to be saved and see the light’. Yes, but there is more.

Jesus is your answer. If we personally, would go deeper with God, get to know the untapped Power of God, and unleash it on our own little world, it would spread like wild fire and evil would not stand a chance.

Unfortunately for all my lifetime Christians have been saying, “oh well, these are the end times, we can’t do anything about the world and evil anyway”. If that really is true then how selfish is that remark? If that is true, then this is the time to be really pressing in and letting the tangible Power of Jesus Name be real in your life for God’s glory and the salvation of your own friends and enemies.

If it’s not the end times, and remember, “the Israelites roamed the desert for 40 years before the promised land, and about 75 years to build the ark. So even if it is, how long till the end? I’m all in, ‘Beam me up Goddie’ rather than ‘Scottie’. Come now Jesus.

It’s God’s timing, so wouldn’t it be a good idea to get to know Him more intimately? Wouldn’t it be a good idea to stop pointing fingers at the world and all those participating in evil, as we wish they would see the Light, and start being the Light? The Light being Jesus in us. Wouldn’t it be a good idea for us to experience the tangible and intangible Power of The Name of Jesus, so the world can see Him?

Jesus, The all Powerful Name of a Jesus, is The answer for the world today. Above Him there’s no other, Jesus Is The Way! ☝️
