Feeling Down Lately?

Many of us are feeling down, even depressed these days, due to current events. Everywhere we look is not just bad news, it’s sad news. How do we rise above feeling down or avoid becoming depressed? 😒
Those of us not dealing with health issues of this nature, can not only manage our moods, we can overcome these feelings.
While we do need to know what’s happening in our world, and even locally, it’s important for us to guard our hearts. All this information is not all news. Hearing the facts, not the media spin, but the facts, is important. Anything beyond that can lead us down a dark path.
Hearing a variety of views on an issue can help us think critically. Listening to, reading, every post on social media, every TV or radio commentary can again, lead us down a dark path.
As Christians we should be in the know and up to date. Unless it’s our calling to be a part of the news media, or other positions that demand our attention, guarding our heart should be a priority.
Why? Well of course to avoid feelings of sadness, hopelessnes, frustration, anger, and fear. These all are polar opposite of our calling as Ambassadors of Christ.
Yes, ambassadors. That’s what we are. We are here as anointed children of the most high God, and we are to represent Gods Kingdom to the world. Everywhere we go in our own little world, our duty and opportunity as ambassadors of Christ Jesus, is to bring Kingdom Culture.
Kingdom Culture is a culture of life. If we participate in the worlds day to day, allowing ourselves to be rooted in the current events, the bad news, the social media mayhem, we become like the world and we no longer have the joy and peace of Gods kingdom. We have nothing to share, we can no longer represent as we should.
Are you feeling down? Have you been rooted in the Word? Or have you been rooted in the this world?
Do you understand Kingdom Culture? As a Christian learning what you have, and what you have to offer the world would definitely bring a smile back to your face.
Do you feel safe and protected, or worried and fearful? If you lack understanding of being a part of Gods Kingdom, and living out your anointed calling, you will live in doubt, fear always second guessing yourself and your identity.
These are turbulent times. We as Christians need to know right now what we are to be doing, how we should be responding, and what our personal anointed calling is for our day to day.
This will radically change your mood. It will bring back your peace and your passion for life. Then keep meditating on the Word, asking God for direction. Feed on the word as often or more than, as you would feed on food. Like David, encourage yourself in the Lord, guarding your heart.
Then become like David a warrior, rather than a worrier. Remember God promised He will never leave us or forsake us.
Like David, who guarded his heart by encouraging himself in the Lord, have a plan, a day to day way to deal with the incoming bad and sad news. Then act on that plan remembering that it’s your calling, your duty as an ambassador here in this foreign land.
Remember this is not your home. In the meantime we must hold the high ground as we wait for the day when we will be home again.
it is the high ground we stand on and we are the salt of the earth. We are promised, protection, safety, provision and the best news of al, hope and a future.
😊 Take your smile back. Satan the thord comes to steal first your smile so he can flood your mind with fear, doubt, anxieties and more. All this he does do he can destroy and kill you.
NOT GONNA HAPPEN! I’m (and you are) an ambassador of the most high God, and I’m anointed to do good by Christ Jesus the King.
Let’s encourage ourselves in the Lord, and joyfully takeover our little part of the world, bringing Kingdom Culture everywhere we go!
I know whose I am, who I believe. And He is able to keep that which I’ve committed unto him against that day.

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
