Simply Speak Jesus

Jesus is risen! Up from the grave, He arose! Jesus is the Light of the World. The Word became flesh, (Jesus) and dwelt among us. Jesus is the Word.

Meditation on the Word, is meditation on Jesus.

Biblical meditation, is meditation on the Light of the World, Jesus. In Him is no darkness. Biblical meditation is meditation on Life... In Him was life and that life was the light of all mankind.

Humanly speaking, we often find it difficult to 'get into' the Word, or 'get into' reading the Bible, let alone meditating on it. May I suggest that the easiest, simplest, way to 'get into it', is to pick a short scripture, preferably from the New Testament, and meditate. Read it, repeat it and allow the Holy Spirit to teach you as you quietly continue repeating and rereading the words of the scripture.

Jesus is the Word that became flesh.

As we engage in Biblical meditation we are meditating on Jesus, Life, Light. Each of these words will fill you with Jesus, Life, Light. I use capital letters here to give the emphasis of the proper name of Jesus as He is Life and Light, literally. Not only will you be enlightened as to the meaning from the context of the scripture from the surrounding chapter, you will be uplifted by the Light. You will literally feel, better, more energetic, enthusiastic, you'll feel your mood lift. Then you too will become a Light in the darkness of the world, and you will continue to be light as you continue to feed on the Word in the same way we come back daily for more food.

Too often we think while we are in this earthly world, that satan has reign. Not so! Jesus said, John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” Jesus has overcome your world, and any trouble you may have. (I know we are to capitalize proper names such as satan, but he does not deserve the same respect as Jesus)

While we are here on this earth, if we dwell in Him, we are sheltered, (Psalms 91), and His Spirit lives in us, Ephesians 2:21 In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. vs. 22 And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.

How do we dwell in Him so His Spirit lives in us?

We live in Him with meditations of our mouth .Psalm 19:14 May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer. Meditation on the Scripture, the living Word of God. Joshua 1:8 Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.

We look everywhere for renewed life and light, except to Jesus. We look to yoga, we look to fun activities, we look to weight loss, and exercise, we look to friends and lovers. None of these things offer peace, life and light. May I also say, all of those things take so much more effort, than the simplicity of meditation on Jesus. As we move through our day, take the scriptures with you. Pick one verse of scripture, meditate on it.

Powerful Simplicity

You say, I listen to my music, Christian radio and or Bible teachers and preachers. I say, that's wonderful, however, there is a powerful simplicity, to allowing the Holy Spirit to speak to you personally, through the meditation on a particular scripture. You will know the difference if you try it. All of the other activities are well and good. Some come with so much drama. Jesus eliminates the drama. Some come with lots of work and effort, Jesus eliminates the work and effort. Try the simplicity of reading, reciting, which is the act of meditating, on the Word of Life and Light, to refresh your spirit, feeding you, minute by minute. If you want powerful transformation, a better life, choose the Words of the Scriptures. Choose the simplicity of speaking Jesus over and into your life.

The Word Became Flesh

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome[a] it.

The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world.10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him.

14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
